The production favours relaxed electronic music over a harder club approach. Soft percussion circles the beat, while sunny synth chords give “Like This” its melodic house character. The track has energy without forcing the pace, which gives it an easygoing summer feel.
What defines Rian Milo & Robotone's 'Like This' as melodic tropical deep house?
Rian Milo and Robotone build “Like This” around an uplifting beat and a concise melodic hook. The groove arrives quickly and remains at the centre of the arrangement, without a drawn-out intro or unnecessary detours. The production is clean, and each element has room to breathe.
The connection to Avicii is most apparent in the bright chord progression and the melody’s emotional pull. Still, “Like This” does not imitate festival-era progressive house. It moves at a more relaxed deep house pace, with less drama and more space between its musical ideas. A larger drop would likely have shifted the track away from the mood it establishes.
Like This sits between tropical house, melodic deep house, and accessible EDM. Its direct melody is easy to remember, while the production resists turning every section into a peak. That balance gives the song a softer edge without losing its dance-floor pulse.
How does 'Like This' by Rian Milo & Robotone offer a smooth groove for summer playlists?
A direct, steady bassline gives the track a reliable foundation without weighing down the mix. Light percussion adds movement around the rhythm, while warm pads and synth tones fill the upper range. The result is polished but uncomplicated, with the groove doing most of the work.
“Rian Milo & Robotone – Like This” fits naturally in a tropical deep house playlist, a summer house mix, or a melodic EDM set that needs a calmer passage. Its consistent rhythm also suits beach playlists, late-night drives, casual parties, and workouts where an aggressive beat would feel out of place.
There is enough momentum for the dance floor, particularly early in a night or during a more laid-back set. At the same time, the song can sit comfortably in the background. It does not demand attention at every moment, yet its melody and pulse keep it from disappearing into the mix.
How the arrangement keeps the song moving
Restraint is one of the track’s strongest production choices. The arrangement continues to move without becoming crowded: rhythm, bass, melody, and percussion each serve a clear purpose. The approach may sound simple, but leaving space between these elements is often more effective than adding layers for their own sake.
The structure supports the relaxed mood. Rather than depending on abrupt changes, “Like This” lets the groove carry the song forward. Transitions stay smooth, and the melodic sections return often enough to establish the hook without exhausting it. Listeners who prefer clean, radio-friendly house music to dense club production may respond to that clarity.
This style requires a careful balance. Too much restraint can leave a song without a clear identity, while an oversized drop can remove the casual appeal that made the groove work. Rian Milo and Robotone stay on the restrained side, but the lift in the chords and hook gives “Like This” enough character to hold interest.
Who will enjoy “Like This”
“Rian Milo & Robotone – Like This” is aimed at listeners who enjoy polished electronic music with tropical house warmth and melodic house emotion. Fans of Avicii-inspired chord progressions may recognise a familiar sensibility in its brighter passages, while deep house listeners may appreciate the controlled pace and uncluttered groove.
It also works well in playlists built around summer EDM, chill dance music, tropical deep house, and easygoing electronic pop. The track does not attempt to reinvent house music. It relies instead on a pleasant rhythm, warm sound design, and a hook that carries its mood from beginning to end.
For listeners looking for a laid-back electronic track with a steady pulse, “Like This” offers a smooth, melodic option for regular rotation.
