Klangspot Recordings 2025 Recap

The year 2025 is coming to an end. What can I say… While revising the Klangspot website (yes, Klangspot Recordings originally started as a music blog), I noticed that I had published the first article in July 2017. Eight years later, Klangspot is a record label with 6 imprints that I have been running full-time since October 2025. I would like to take this opportunity to once again express my sincere gratitude to my former colleagues. Thank you very much for the great time!

What are the three highlights of this very memorable year for me?

– The catalog of Klangspot and its imprints exceeded a total of 500 songs.
– Releases by the Klangspot family or those I was involved in as an artist/producer racked up a total of 275,000,000 streams on Spotify.
– I had the wonderful opportunity to be involved in the release of a vinyl album for the first time.

These are just the bare facts, but they only begin to express what this year has meant to me. One highlight is definitely the good fortune I have had in working with wonderful people. ☺️ At this point, I would like to express my special thanks to Martin and Dirk, who gave me tremendous support, especially in the early days of my self-employment in the music business after 28 years of employment in banking and IT. We didn’t seek each other out, but we found each other nonetheless. 🙏🏻 And next year something really big will happen… The world is changing. And we are one step ahead of it. 💪🏻

This post is probably so long by now that most people haven’t even gotten this far. So I don’t want to thank all the great artists and people I’ve had the privilege of working with by name. Also, mentioning them might reveal too much about all the big things that are coming in 2026. But you can be sure that you have a place in my heart. I am often asked what the key to success is. My two most important rules are:

– Money is not the main focus.
– NEVER work with someone you wouldn’t go for a beer with. 🍻 In other words, only work with people you like, trust, and get along with.

The rest is taken care of by a love of music and hard work. 😊

With that in mind… see you in 2026. Stronger than before. 🔥

Oh, and I should probably get some professional press photos taken in 2026. These dimly lit selfie attempts are pathetic. 🙄😆
