Settle into the slow, chilled lofi sound of CVibes on the latest single, “Waiting for Sunset”. Released through Chilled Bear Recordings, the track comes from producer Cristian Vivaldi. It moves between lofi hip hop, chillhop, and ambient music, with a patient rhythm suited to late afternoons, quiet rooms, and the point when the day begins to slow down.
CVibes' "Waiting for Sunset" is a new single from producer Cristian Vivaldi, released through Chilled Bear Recordings, offering a slow, chilled lofi sound. The track blends lofi hip hop, chillhop, and ambient music, distinguished by its patient rhythm and open mix. Its strength lies in providing calm momentum for activities like studying, reading, or evening walks, focusing on mood and space rather than immediate hooks. "Waiting for Sunset" is also the second track from an upcoming CVibes EP, hinting at a collection centered on stillness and personal time.
“Waiting for Sunset” does not chase a large hook or dramatic shift. Its strength lies in its pace. Soft beats support gentle melodies, while the arrangement leaves space around each sound. For anyone looking for relaxing lofi music, it offers calm momentum for studying, reading, evening walks, or a break after a crowded day.
Slow lofi beats for the evening
The track unfolds at an unhurried pace. Mellow drums carry the rhythm without taking over, and soft melodic lines move quietly through the mix. The result is chilled lofi music that feels intimate rather than overly polished or sentimental. Instead of announcing each change, the track lets small shifts in tone and texture emerge gradually.
That restraint gives the production its character. Many lofi beats are designed for concentration, but the details can sometimes become too crowded. “Waiting for Sunset” keeps the mix open. Sounds have time to fade, return, and sit beside one another. The music works in the background while you focus, but it also rewards closer listening in a quieter moment.
The title suits the track without forcing a single interpretation. It suggests a slower pace and a release from the pressure of the day. The mood is reflective without leaning too heavily on nostalgia. It feels like a private pause rather than music trying to prescribe an emotion.
CVibes and Cristian Vivaldi
CVibes is the project of Cristian Vivaldi, a musician and producer whose work centers on atmosphere and measured arrangements. Under the CVibes name, Vivaldi brings together lofi hip hop rhythms, chillhop grooves, and ambient textures. These elements are familiar within the genre, but the focus here remains on mood, pacing, and space.
On “Waiting for Sunset”, the lofi hip hop influence appears in the relaxed drum pattern and steady pulse. Ambient textures soften the edges of the rhythm. Rather than driving the track forward, they allow it to hover. It is a balanced choice for listeners searching for lofi music for relaxation with more shape than a simple background loop.
Vivaldi does not try to fill every second of the arrangement. Silence and decay form part of the composition. A melody may appear briefly before making room for the beat, while a small sound can alter the colour of a section without creating a major transition. The result feels personal but accessible, whether it is playing while you make dinner, write, or watch the light change outside.
A preview of the upcoming CVibes EP
“Waiting for Sunset” is the second track from the upcoming CVibes EP. It follows “Solitude”, the first song shared from the release. Together, the titles point towards a collection concerned with stillness and time alone, while this single stays focused on the gradual move into evening.
The track also suggests what listeners may hear across the EP: restrained beats, soft ambient layers, and mood shifts that do not need large transitions to register. This approach may not suit listeners looking for immediate hooks or heavier percussion. For those drawn to slow chillhop and atmospheric lofi instrumental music, its patience is part of the appeal.
There is warmth in the recording, though it never becomes overly sweet. The beat has enough weight to ground the piece, while the airy elements keep it from feeling dense. “Waiting for Sunset” fits naturally into playlists built around calm lofi beats, evening chillhop, ambient study music, and quiet instrumental tracks.
It also works well at low volume. Some productions lose their presence when played softly, but this one retains its pulse and melodic movement. Turn it up, and more of the arrangement comes into view. Leave it low, and it settles into the room without disappearing.
What is 'Waiting for Sunset' and where can you listen to it?
With “Waiting for Sunset”, Cristian Vivaldi continues the CVibes project through soft lofi beats, airy melodies, and a pace that refuses to hurry. The track does not attempt to resolve the noise of a busy day. It simply leaves less room for it for a few minutes. For fans of chillhop, ambient lofi, and reflective instrumental music, it is a quiet release worth spending time with.
The upcoming EP now has two tracks that point towards a cohesive mood without revealing every detail. “Solitude” introduced the project’s current direction, while “Waiting for Sunset” moves further into calm, spacious production. The full release will show how these individual pieces connect.
