Arkadi Martinë's "Beach Kisses" is a lofi guitar summer track released through Chilled Bear Recordings, an imprint of the Klangspot family. This instrumental piece evokes the fading light of a summer romance and the German concept of "Fernweh," a longing to be somewhere else. The track distinguishes itself with acoustic guitar at its core, soft percussion featuring shakers and rim clicks, and a warm mix enhanced by a faint tape-saturation or vinyl-crackle layer. Moving at a relaxed pace of roughly 80-90 BPM, "Beach Kisses" is designed for summer-nostalgia playlists, sunset drives, and quiet afternoons.
Summer has its own texture: salt drying on your skin, coconut sunscreen on a towel, and sunlight that still looks gold at 8 PM.
It has a sound too: waves beyond the dunes, friends laughing across a patio, and an acoustic guitar near a bonfire. When winter settles in or the sun disappears early, the right lofi summer music can bring some of that atmosphere back.
Music cannot replace a holiday. It can, however, make an ordinary room feel a little less fixed in place.
On his latest release, “Beach Kisses,” Lofi Guitar artist Arkadi Martinë writes toward that feeling.
Released through Chilled Bear Recordings, the Lofi imprint of the Klangspot family, “Beach Kisses” is a compact instrumental about the fading light of a summer romance. Its Chillhop beat and Acoustic Guitar suggest a trip remembered later, with a little distance and soft focus. It may appeal to anyone feeling Fernweh, the German word for longing to be somewhere else.
The track sits comfortably in the Guitar Lofi space. Acoustic detail, an unhurried beat, and a warm mix make it well suited to summer-nostalgia playlists, sunset drives, and quiet afternoons.
How does Arkadi Martinë's 'Beach Kisses' capture the golden hour mood?
The title “Beach Kisses” suggests a clear scene: warm air, privacy, and a moment that cannot last for long.
-
There are no lyrics, yet the track still suggests connection. It is not club music or a song built to fill every second with noise. Instead, it suits the quieter stretch after a party, when people are walking home and the shoreline has emptied out.
-
Martinë gives the instruments room to breathe. The arrangement remains open rather than busy, which makes the music feel suited to an outdoor setting, with a long horizon somewhere beyond the speakers.
How “Beach Kisses” sounds
“Beach Kisses” leans on organic instruments rather than obvious digital samples. That choice shapes much of this acoustic guitar lofi track’s character.
1. Acoustic guitar
Many Lofi Hip Hop melodies come from sampled piano or synthesizer lines. Martinë puts acoustic guitar at the centre of this instrumental Chillhop release instead.
-
The guitar recording is clean enough to hear fingers moving across the fretboard. Those small details make the performance feel close, as though someone were playing a few feet away rather than inside a heavily processed mix.
-
The melody stays light and hopeful. Major seventh chords bring a gentle jazz colour without turning the song into a harmony lesson or making it sound overly polished.
2. Percussion
The drums in “Beach Kisses” move at a familiar Chillhop pace, though they are softer than a standard programmed lofi beat.
-
Shakers, snaps, and rim clicks replace the hard crack of a digital snare. The percussion gives the song momentum without demanding attention.
-
The shaker can bring sand moving underfoot to mind, while the beat rises and settles with a loose tidal motion. At roughly 80-90 BPM, this is relaxed background music rather than a track that hurries the listener.
3. The Lofi treatment
The guitar remains clear, while the full mix carries the soft warmth associated with Chilled Bear releases.
-
A faint tape-saturation or vinyl-crackle layer gives the recording an older edge. It recalls a summer memory from the 1990s: not perfectly sharp, perhaps a little idealised, but pleasant to revisit.
Arkadi Martinë
Arkadi Martinë is part of the Chilled Bear Recordings roster. His music combines detailed guitar playing with the unhurried pace listeners expect from Lofi.
-
These songs feel composed rather than assembled from a stack of loops. The guitar parts use harmony, voice leading, and changes in dynamics to keep the arrangement moving, even when the beat remains steady.
-
Guitar gives his work a different colour in a genre where keyboards are common. There is some of the easy acoustic character associated with Jack Johnson, paired with the even pulse many listeners know from Lofi Girl-style study music.
What are the best listening occasions for Arkadi Martinë's 'Beach Kisses'?
“Beach Kisses” works in several everyday settings, especially when music should establish a mood without taking over the room.
1. Golden-hour videos
Travel videos and sunset reels often need music that supports the image rather than competing with it.
-
The acoustic guitar and easy rhythm sit well beneath footage of sunsets, road trips, beach walks, and ocean views. For creators looking for lofi music for travel videos, it adds a cinematic lift while leaving space for the visuals.
2. An outdoor study session
Study music does not have to sound grey, sleepy, or sad.
-
For work in a park, on a balcony, or at a desk that needs a little daylight, the track keeps a light pulse without becoming distracting. It suits a productive afternoon better than a desperate late-night cram session. Listeners looking for relaxing instrumental music for studying may find the guitar easier to live with than a more repetitive piano loop.
3. Dinner or drinks at home
It also fits behind a meal, a glass of wine on the patio, or a quiet evening with another person.
-
“Beach Kisses” is romantic without becoming syrupy. Because it is instrumental, it fills pauses without getting in the way of conversation. That makes it useful as relaxed acoustic background music when the room needs warmth but not a performance.
How does 'Beach Kisses' evoke an imaginary coastal atmosphere?
'Beach Kisses' evokes an imaginary coastal atmosphere by suggesting The Coast of Somewhere Beautiful, a place open to the listener's interpretation, whether Malibu, the Amalfi Coast, or a quiet Baltic beach. The song draws on familiar coastal details like bright light, moving air, and the relief of having nowhere urgent to be. This summer lofi instrumental shifts the atmosphere, offering a mental escape even when the weather outside isn't beach-like.

-
Three minutes of music will not replace a holiday for someone in an office or city apartment. Still, a summer lofi instrumental can shift the atmosphere for a while, especially when the weather outside is nowhere near beach weather.
Chilled Bear Recordings
“Beach Kisses” fits naturally alongside the music released by Chilled Bear Recordings.
-
As a sub-label of Klangspot, Chilled Bear releases calmer, melodic electronic music. The label’s catalogue generally places melody and mood ahead of heavy impact, which suits Chillhop and instrumental Lofi listeners.
-
The production keeps the guitar audible and defined. The Lofi texture sounds deliberate rather than rough or unfinished, and that restraint helps the track avoid the muddy sound sometimes associated with the genre.
Why summer nostalgia works
Summer songs can feel especially welcome in winter because memory edits the past. Psychologists call one part of this rosy retrospection, the tendency to remember past experiences more fondly than we experienced them at the time.
-
The acoustic guitar in “Beach Kisses” may bring back holidays, old friends, long evenings, or time spent outside. The association changes with every listener. That is part of the appeal: the song leaves enough room for people to place their own version of summer inside it.
