July 10, 2026“Solaris” is the second single from Stefania Surace’s EP on Klangspot Nu Classical. Stefania Surace Releases “Solaris” on Klangspot Nu Classical
Klangspot Nu Classical presents “Solaris,” the new single by Italian pianist and composer Stefania Surace.
As the second single from the EP, “Solaris” opens another window into Surace’s intimate piano world. Where “Traces of Light” moved with a broader, flowing sense of memory and reflection, “Solaris” feels more compact and concentrated. It is a small piece, but not a minor statement. In just over a minute, it creates a complete emotional image: warm, thoughtful and quietly full of light.
The title “Solaris” suggests brightness, warmth and something gently radiating from within. The music follows that idea without becoming overly bright or decorative. Instead, Surace keeps the mood subtle. The piano feels close, human and unforced, allowing each phrase to land with natural simplicity.
A Short Piano Piece with a Clear Emotional Shape
“Solaris” is built with restraint. The track does not try to impress through speed, volume or virtuosity. Its strength lies in the clarity of the melody and the way the piano phrases breathe.
There is a soft emotional contrast inside the piece. The harmony carries a slightly melancholic color, but the overall feeling is not dark. It feels like light entering a quiet room — not suddenly, not dramatically, but slowly enough that you notice the space changing.
This makes “Solaris” especially effective as a neoclassical piano miniature. It does what a miniature should do: it captures one feeling with precision. No unnecessary weight. No long explanation. Just a brief musical moment that stays with the listener.
The Second Single from the EP
As the second single from the EP, “Solaris” deepens the musical identity introduced by “Traces of Light.” Both pieces share Stefania Surace’s sensitivity for atmosphere, memory and melodic detail, but “Solaris” has its own character.
It feels more immediate, more distilled. The composition does not unfold like a long journey. It feels more like a glimpse — a small reflection of warmth, a passing thought, a quiet inner image.
That gives the EP a beautiful sense of contrast. “Traces of Light” introduced a flowing emotional landscape. “Solaris” now adds a focused, sunlit miniature: brief, intimate and emotionally clear.
About Stefania Surace
Stefania Surace is an Italian pianist and composer whose music can be described as short-form neoclassical piano. Her artistic path is deeply personal and far from predictable.
Born in Calabria, she first followed a completely different route. She studied political science in Rome, continued her education at the College of Europe in Bruges and seemed to be heading toward a professional life connected to European institutions, research or media.
But music returned.
After years away from the piano, Surace began dreaming of music at night. Those dreams slowly brought her back to the instrument she had once left behind. She returned to piano, theory and composition, eventually recording several piano albums and performing in Italy and abroad.
Today, her music often feels like part of one larger inner story — shaped by silence, memory, nature and the feeling of finding a place to return to.
A Piano Voice Between Memory and Light
What makes Stefania Surace’s music special is its lack of artificial drama. She does not force emotion onto the listener. Instead, she opens a small space and lets the piano speak softly inside it.
“Solaris” is a perfect example of that approach. It is warm but not sentimental, minimal but not empty, simple but not simplistic. The piece feels as if it has been reduced to the essential: melody, touch, resonance and light.
That makes it ideal for listeners who enjoy neoclassical piano, modern classical piano, peaceful piano, short piano pieces, music for reflection and intimate instrumental music.

The track is not designed as background filler. It is brief, but it has intention. Its gentle piano sound and concise structure make it suitable for calm listening moments, but its emotional detail also rewards closer attention.
It belongs in the same listening spaces as peaceful piano, reflective modern classical music, instrumental focus music and quiet cinematic piano — but it keeps its own distinct personality.
